Tickets: regular ticket: 10€, for groups of 10 or more: 8€ per person. Tour in Estonian: 75€. Tour in English: 100€.

Location: Maajaam, Neeruti village, Otepää municipality (6 km from Otepää, 40 km from Tartu)

Catering: ice cream and coffee available at the kiosk, soup (meat and vegetarian) can be prepared upon pre-order.

Following the large-scale outdoor exhibition that took place as part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 programme, “Wild Bits” returns this summer for two weeks. From July 11 to 27, we invite you to Maajaam for the “Wild Bits” mini-exhibition. The exhibition brings together seven works previously featured and introduces three brand new installations. The exhibition is complemented by an additional programme, giving the audience a chance to explore earlier works created at Maajaam and ongoing experiments.

The artworks created for Wild Bits exhibition encourage reflection on how nature, humans, and human-made technologies influence each other. Art installations situated in nature help form new connections that might not be noticeable in a gallery environment.

The artworks were created during 3-week residencies, often involving scientists or experts from other fields. Visitors can explore the artworks on a diverse 3 km walking trail that leads through meadows, horse paddocks, groves, as well as near a swamp and a lake.

A walk in nature refreshes the mind, and 10+ unique technological art pieces will tickle your curiosity. A hike on the wild exhibition trail is a great opportunity to spend time together, explore nature, new technologies, and fascinating artworks.

After the tour, we encourage visitors to have a picnic in the exhibition area. Coffee, soft drinks and ice cream can be purchased at the kiosk. By pre-order, we also offer hot soup, fresh bread, and the opportunity to have lunch at a set table.
